Children age 5 and over, who are physically active, are able to do the Boiling Lake hike. Our Tour Guides are more than happy to offer help to children, and likewise adults.

We only cancel if the weather conditions are too bad and therefore jeopardise tour safety. The cancellation could occur either the day before the hike or on the morning of the hike. An alternative tour will always be offered in replacement, as the inclement weather is often localised in the central region of the island.
The minimum number of persons per guide is 2, although solo hikers can take a personal guide for the price of 2 people.
The maximum number of persons per guide is 8. Bookings of more than 8 persons will have the services of 2 of our trusted Tour Guides.
9.30am is the latest time for departure from the trailhead. However, we aim to start earlier, in order to have more time to enjoy the route.
You will need hiking or running shoes, 1 litre of drinking water per person (container can be refilled with clean river water at one place along the route), packed lunch and snacks, swim wear, camera in a waterproof casing, hiking sticks (optional), raincoat (optional) and extra clothing for the ride back (optional).
